Driving from Eugene,Oregon to L.A. Ca. in a few days. Will do out first RVing on the way back to Oregon. First trailer ever...from backpacking into Wildness areas to just car camping and now...a travel trailer. Jumping in with both feet....comments or advice appreciated.

Salesmen......*(^%*(^(*&^...when making the deposit he said I could pick up the trailer in two days.
After taking the deposit, he instructs me to talk to another department..that department says end of month.
I do believe sometimes rv salesman are the slimmest of all. Not all, I know there are some very good ones. But it seems some rv salesman will sometimes say anything to get your money. They seem more desperate. I think the biggest lie they tell is selling you more rv than you can tow. Knowing that you will have to upgrade your tow vehicle or repair it soon in the future.
Seems very underhanded at best. Perhaps a call to the salesmen's manager can help sort it out or perhaps even get you a better deal?

thanks Sean and kybrowns. yes, we were quite upset but finally got an "appointment" in a week. Real bad communication would put a positive spin on the experience.
Sorry the sales experience is going poorly. I hope the trailer more than makes up for it once you have it.
Just go back from 1700 mile round trip to pick up our new 13QHB. It was a banzi run.
Just a question...the same salesperson told us that the one battery that came with the trailer gets charged by the tow vehicle. Got home, the battery is low, we never used 12v's. I am charging the battery now on my workbench. Can anyone fill me in on how the battery is supposed to be charged while on a trip? I thought the transformer would do that when battery was not in use. And why doesn't the manual explain any of this?

I can commiserate with you about bad dealers. It's sadly rare to find good ones. I see you asked the electrical question in another thread. You may want to consider asking questions in just one place so other members can more easily see response posts and help out.
Picture of rag from second cleaning of unused (by me) floor of our new trailer. Obviously, the dealer did not clean the massive amounts of aluminum dust ground into the flooring material.Lots of aluminum shaving in cabinets and floors. They also supplied a "new" battery ( as they told me it was) that does not take a charge. There were other problems with american RV inc.
Factory window did not close, dealer did a "quick" fix. From the looks of the joint on front top of trailer, I will be cleaning and resealing that joint before Oregon rains.

As for the charge of your battery make sure your 12v from your TV has the relay & fuse installed. My F150 relay & fuse was in a bag the glove box.
