Title: Hi to everyone
Post by: salmin on May 25, 2016, 02:11:09 PM
New to the forum here and to camping. Wife and I retired a couple years ago and we thought we would do some camping just to get away once a month. Bought a 2016 QS 8. So far we have it set up in the driveway but we are planning a trip in a couple weeks. Reading through the post on the forum is helpful to a newbie and reading about upgrades and tricks people use is also helpful...So Hi to everyone here and happy camping...:)

Hey, and welcome!
This is a good group of people so you found a good place to get plenty of information and opinions, maybe if you're lucky even a few jokes :)

Okay I'll bite...

Q: What's purple & on the other side of the ocean?
A: Grape Britain!

Salmin - You can stop laughing now. Welcome! I trust you & your bride will enjoy camping. If when you hit the campsite you start to wonder if its really for you, don't rush to judgement. Explore what it has to offer each of you, find the common ground, and focus to develop that. For my wife & I it was a love of hiking, camp food, and being free of TV's etc. Camping for us is an escape for our busy stressful lives -- an escape we can share. Everyone has their own things they like & dislike about camping. Build on the good stuff & enjoy.
