I have a 2014 14DB with the Black out package and noticed that some of the black caulk around the orbital edging has started to come out. I was wondering if anyone has ever replaced the caulk around the front seal? What I am trying to determine is what caulking I should use and whether there are any tricks in re-sealing the edge. I don't want to take the entire edge off as I am concerned about getting it back on.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I have attached a link to an image of the front of the trailer, although you can't see the areas where the caulking is coming out. It is around the black edge piece next to the white orbital face.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

The flickr link isn't working, but I'm guessing from your description that you're actually seeing butyl rubber squeezing out. All of the corner trim has a layer of butyl sandwiched between it and the body and some of it squeezes out when they install it. On my trailer the corner trim doesn't have any caulk at all... just the butyl. If you make that picture/album public on your flickr account we should be able to tell for sure though.
Thanks. I think I fixed the problem with the Flick thread. It should now be public. I couldn't figure out how to embed the photo in the post.
We'll need a closer picture than that to see what's going on. Can you post one that just shows an area where it's coming out?
Here a couple close up shots. One showing one of the sample areas where the "caulking" or butyl rubber is missing and another just showing the "substance" squishing out the side of the trim piece.

When I picked up the trailer at the factory in March of 2014 Don N. graciously provided me with the caulk depicted in the attached photo. I thought that the substance was simply a black silicone caulking. Apparently, it is something different?
I think none of those tubes contain the sealant under the molding. I always just push that black sealant back in where I see it coming out a bit. I've had no issues related to this area since I got the trailer in September 2013.

Thanks for the response. I may post an inquiry in the factory section to see if I get an answer. Is there still a factory rep who monitors that section of the board?
Go for it. The vast majority of factory questions still remain unanswered. :(
