Title: Wd hitch for a axxess 8.5x22?
Post by: dhedstro on May 17, 2014, 01:12:05 AM
Hi,

id like to buy an axxess 8.5x22 toy hauler and put a rzr4-1000 in it.  Tahoe is rated for 8200lbs towing but need a WD hitch.  Any recommendations?  Do livin lite trailers work ok with one due to the aluminum frame?  Appreciate your advice, thanks.

There's a shop in Canada called CanAm. Well respected on the AirForums Airstream site.

Andy, who works there, specializes in this sort of thing and for my Ford Flex/21BHS combo recommended the EAZLift Elite hitch combined with a Husky sway control.

Mid-range in price, seems well made and well designed. No drilling required for the hitch, and Husky makes a clamp-on ball for their sway control to avoid drilling there as well.

Pictures of my setup and discussion on adjusting it in my thread "Picking up my 21BHS" elsewhere on this forum.
