Title: Is my 6.8C gonna tip over
Post by: wvabeer on March 23, 2016, 08:31:28 AM
Using my Camplite 6.8C off the truck, is it safe to sleep in without tipping over?

Here's that question discussed on the open roads forum. Sounds like the answer is a "maybe".

I liked this answer:

"If you each weigh 600lbs, and wear lead pajamas, then you might stand a chance of tipping the camper over".

Wouldn't "Lead Pajamas" would be a good name for a band!  :D

I think the 6.8 has a higher likelihood of tipping since it has a relatively long forward section. I would still think it is safe but I can certainly understand the concern. I dont know for sure but done they sell support bars for this exact scenario? Something like a couple more legs that can temporarily support the forward section?

I would not recommend that in any Truck Camper.  That is a concern even in the factory as they are being built.
