Title: Rhino no mo'
Post by: leslie on February 28, 2016, 04:36:48 PM
Poop fans, I have a question for you. We had a Rhino sewer hose. No holes in it at all, but it separated near the junction to our trailer. The hose separated at the black cuff where the orange thingy with the bayonet connection screwed in.

We were unable to get that black cuff back onto the hose. I suggested Gorilla Glue. Hubby nixed the idea, saying if it separated again, things could get ugly.

Does anybody here know if we could have fixed it, or if our purchase of a new one was inevitable?

the one i bought (rhino with the orange ends) was too long to fit into the holder and i was able to unscrew the ends, cut it to length, and simply screw the ends back on.

the expandable hose is basically a wire coil covered in plastic so it acts like a screw.  your end probably just unscrewed off of the hose from use

Yup, they can be taken apart on purpose to clean, if needed. Just screw the hose back in and you're good to go (so to speak).

[font size="3"]Agreed. The black ring is marked lock and unlock. Twist to unlock it. Twist the hose back onto the orange fitting and twist the black ring back on to lock it. Done.

BTW, Hubby was right on the glue job!
