I love those style of chairs. Mine are far less luxurious though ;) I have actively complained about not having a place to put my feet and not being able to lean back, both issues looked to be solved in that chair. Nice find...now if only it wasnt so expensive

I have a couple of gravity type chairs that I keep in the camper, but I LOVE my Helinox Camp Chair.  its only 2 lbs and breaks down to the size of a shoe.  real easy to take anywhere.

Everything Helinox makes is TOP shelf, but you pay for it too.  i'm on my ship for the next few months, so I cant post a picture right now, but google it and watch some videos if your interested in a super lite weight, very portable chair, cot or table

Yeap, that one looks like the extended version too, they make several different versions, but they are all good. There is a knockoff brand too, but I cant remember the name of it. These chairs and cots are really made to be VERY portable. Like I said, I keep some nice gravity chairs in my camper too, because my wife only likes the Helinox when we are hiking or something like that, otherwise she is in her big heavy chair.

She has one like the one that started this Thread in her Classroom that they use in front by the white board and during lectures.  It is VERY good too

Found this on one of my go-to deal sites for outdoors gear. The Helinox chair for 63 bucks http://www.steepandcheap.com/gear-cache/hike-and-camp-sale/HEL0008-BK

Has anyone ever seen that type of chair without arms of any type?

I assume you are referring to the style in the original post, and if that's the case I have not. I think most designs use the arms as part of the structure for the back. There are little chairs that are more like stools but I wouldn't think they are comfortable around a campfire for very long. Example: http://amzn.to/1T82KJ2

The no arms part is the deal killer I bet. Its hard enough to find a camp chair without arms in the first place, then if you add the "comfortable" requirement its leaning towards the impossible end of the scale.

I think the Helinox is going to be the closest to what you described. I've sat in the REI version in their store and found them to be comfortable, but I dont always like sitting that low to the ground. Not to mention I couldnt justify the price.

this is the exact one I have (two of them actually), I like it because I can use it hunting/fishing and such too. and I paid more than this for it.  Never seen this site before so thanks for posting it. I will check back for other stuff.

that looks nice too. I'm super tall, which puts the supports or bars at weird areas sometimes.

[/quote]yea, those do look nice. And they definitely fit into my idea of everything going into some plastic storage tubes. I need to find one to try..
