[div style="text-align:center;"][span style="font-family:georgia;font-size:medium;"]Hi all! [/span][/div][font size="3" face="georgia"][div style="text-align:center;"]We are getting ready to take our new 8.0 out for it's first overnighter and I had a few questions regarding the sink.
I have read it is basically useless. We are tent campers, so the fact we are now in a camper is luxury!
I'm assuming I will only use the sink for a few quick hand washings and that's about it.
Any thoughts on the sink, and if you do use it, can you please suggest a reasonably priced grey water tank? They seem to range!
Thanks so much! [/div][/font]
It seems a lot of people don't use the sink, however my family it is a must. We use it for brushing teeth and washing hands mostly.
For a grey tank I use a plastic container that's used to catch motor oil when changing the oil under the car. It's perfect for me and my 10.0. It's flat design fits nicely under camper even if you are parked on a hilly area where the tongue side of the camper is lower to the ground. It is also designed to catch draining liquids from above it. Plus they come with a easy way to drain them in the camp toilets.
If you don't have a grey tank built-in, you may as well brush your teeth over a bucket from Home Depot. Easier, cheaper, no cleanup. Or the campfire, actually. So yeah, onboard fixtures without onboard tanks...bwah ????
We do most of our dishwashing in dishpans from the dollar store. The soap and rinse water goes into the fire pit to put out the campfire before we leave the campsite, so double duty.
like one of these? good idea..

My wife and I have used the sink for teeth brushing, dishes, washing faces/hands. We put out a bucket under the exit tube..
Thanks for the replies. I think I'm on board wth doing dishes the old fashion way, in washtubs, we'll stick to hand washing only, for the sink. My husband thought the oil pan was a great idea and we have an unused one from Harbor Freight in the garage already! It's low profile, so it may work for quick trips.
