Title: Covering Tent while open
Post by: peterf on September 21, 2015, 11:06:05 AM
Labor day weekend we camped under tree cover for the first time. I had a lot of stains from all the droppings from the trees.
It was a fair amount of work to clean them. I thought maybe next time I would cover the top with a thin tarp or just some plastic to avoid having to clean it.
Has anyone done this? Is there any detriment to doing it?

Thanks,
Peter

Many people use pop up gizmos for temperature control. Side benefit of keeping tenting clean. I use space blankets for same results.

Woot has Kelty Noah's Tarps on clearance right now. $30 for the 9' and $60 for the 16'. These are great general purpose tarps that you may find useful...especially at that price.

We have a 10x20 frame canopy that we use over ours, this gives us coverage and protection. BUT provides an outdoor space that is covered. we also carry sides for the canopy and use those in bad weather or dusty/windy areas.[img style="Post Options" src="http://images.proboards.com/v5/icon-options.png" title="Post Options"]

Randy if you could share a picture of your setup I would love to see it. I tried something similar once but my setup didn't workout.
