We have a 2013 CampLite 21BHS, and recently discovered that our slide-out is inoperable after a winter of storage. I've verified there is adequate power to the trailer, but pressing the slide-out switch results in total silence. I tried pulling the white/red wires from the switch itself and touching them together to see if the switch was bad, but still no luck.
The slide-out was not listed on our fuse box panel, but I intend to try swapping each fuse to see if that will fix the problem. Don N. at Livin Lite told me in an email that it should be the #10 fuse. If this is the problem, I guess it will be a simple fix.
Aside from the fuse panel, what else can go wrong with the slide-out? Is there a way to open close the slide out manually?
We ran into this problem camping this past weekend, and were stuck for 3 days with the slide-out stuck in. Thanks for any suggestions...

You should have an access panel above your fridge and the slide controller is directly behind it. Open the access panel and check the status lights on the controller while someone else pushes the button for the slide. If they don't light up at all it means either no power, or the controller has gone bad. I'm confused by your statement about the "white/red" wires though... there should be three wires going to the slide out switch (in my case Red/Black/Purple).
Thanks for the info about the access panel, I will check that out.
As for the slide-out switch, it does have 3 wires going to it. In my case, red/white/orange. The orange wire is in the middle, and I presume it's a ground wire?

The middle wire gets connected to the top or bottom wire. I don't remember if it was common ground or common hot. Did you try white->orange and red->orange to test both directions? My guess would be a blown fuse since the seals were probably extremely stiff from sitting all winter. The controller is supposed to have overload protection though, but that would display on the controllers (blinking lights or something). Here's a lippert video that shows the details:

[font size="3"]As I recall there is a fuse in the power panel for the slide, but it only fuses the control switch. The primary high current line to the controller board does not come through the fuse panel. It is hot all the time. I couldn't find a protective device for that line unless LL depends on the main 30A battery reversal fuses.

Thanks for the responses. It turned out the problem was a loose wire connection in the slide-out controller (behind the acess panel). Must have slowly shaken loose since we took delivery. Once the connection was restored, everything started working again. No problems found with fuses or the actual in/out switch.
I've been told the slide-out can be forced open manually by 2 people if the motor is disconnected. Haven't tried this yet, but it would be useful in the event another problem occurs on a trip. If anyone has succeeded in doing this it would be worth posting details... Thanks.
Regarding the manual override, I should have looked at the video posted above first! Looks like it can be done.
Since a non-working slide is something that could really be an issue at a campground, I made this thread a sticky. The solution here as well as the manual override video could really come in handy for someone.
