[/quote]Oh, wow! Thanks for pointing this feature out, WF! A lesson is here to keep looking up! Almost missed the birds for the fish!
Looks like a sensory deprivation tank. They could market to fishing enthusiasts as "The Bobber" --- imagine it with a red & white colour scheme.

[/p][p]I look at this design with both lust and distain. I appreciate the engineering aspects. I appreciate the style from an abstract point of view. It is risky. Couple things bug me though.[/p][p]
[/p][p]They have gone through all that work making the shell seamless then proceeded to bust a zillion holes in it for the solar panels, which by any definition, should only be mounted on a single angle of incidence per row. There will also be a bunch of dark cells at any given time.[/p][p]
[/p][p]Imagine trying to find a roof leak on this? Unless they are glued on and that would stink from a different prospective. No, but the wires must route.[/p][p]
[/p][p]Small scale wind is usually a bad idea unless trees are constantly flagging. Around 7-8mph or so.

Wait...wait... it hasn't hatched yet....http://www.jurassicworld.com/
Didn't Superman get to Earth in something like that?

(my bad!)
Seriously, a fully submersible application could be helpful in looking for Nessie...no? "2000 Livin Lites Under the Sea" sort of thing, 'no wood, no rust or rot!'
(Starting to see why PinStriper doesn't want to pay for this stuff! :P)

[p]Another thing these folks have figured out, unlike CampLite, is most of the users are over two feet tall. Smashing my head on the opened windows once hurts a bit. But after the seventh time in the same exact spot I start to see stars.... >:D (rofl)[/p][p]
[/p][p]C'mon ...you know you have done it too.[/p]

[/p][p]C'mon ...you know you have done it too.[/p][/quote]Here's my excuse; We hike and I'm always looking down checking for snakes. Still looking down while walking around the camper & wack! Have not damaged any windows, yet!
[p]I'm gonna hang some freakin' caution tape or sumthin'...whap!...ouch!...whap!....ouch!...whap!.....ouch! My wife stopped asking if I'm Okay![/p][p]
[/p][p]Never said I was the brightest bulb on the tree. WHAP! ...yawn.[/p]
...whacked, but NOT because you're texting, right?! Please say it ain't so.
Just like Sister Constance used to say, GW. "There is no excuse for this behavior, little whoofit." That just right before the...wait for it!...WHAP!
My life is full of whaps? Wazzup with that?
Really like CampLite windows, but this is the only issue I can find with them. It can't be my fault, so has to be a design issue! ;)

[p]In all seriousness I do too. Been thinking of a way to easily raise them more. A gas strut with a cable limiter could be the ticket or a torsion spring system maybe. A stopper clamp on the existing arms?...hmmmm Haven't measured for that yet. [/p][p]
[/p][p]In the meantime I'll let the swelling go down and try to fit the old sparring head gear... (rofl)

The upscale version....

If you ever wondered what a mountian climbing robot dinosaur turd would look like now you know.
You could say it looks like a suppository. I wouldn't say that but you could. ;-| A really big solar-powered suppository. I didn't say that either.

"..to boldly go where no man has gone before."
Is there an "after" picture with it at the bottom of that hill? Something round sitting of a cliff is just too tempting.

That's one of the greatest word-pictures ever penned, (typed)! Thank you, TLB, for the garish, er...I mean, animated mental imagery.... just before me bedtime!
I'll play along...
I can just picture it circling Uranus.

(http://i1312.photobucket.com/albums/t521/minuteman1965/turtle-sub_zps4xqwl162.jpg)Could it be??? Could it be that with minor mods, we could actually float and troll, bob and dive ....AND save the dinosaurs?

[/p][p]Just last week I got an event invite on FB. She is finally retiring after 50 years of service at the same school. I will attend and tell her what I always wanted to. Hey, Sister, you need to work on your swing...[/p][p]
[/p][p]I suspect St. Peter will find her name present on the list. I am absolutely [strong][em]
certain[/em][/strong] the USMC will welcome her with great applause.[/p][p]

[p]So, why did the chicken cross the road? To get away from that thing it laid on the other side![/p][p]
[/p][p]Really though, I still see some merit to this design......(ducks behind the couch) [/p]

[/p][p]You know you want to. Secretly I want you to too. Maybe a nudge with the bumper? Heck, we are all grown-ups with insurance right?

[p]Interesting how such seemingly useless, albeit creative and [em]fun[/em], content has blown up to attain a 'HOT' thread status. IMHO, it makes for a richer, closer LL PB community when there is freedom to be silly, to laugh. Thank you for this gift.[/p][p]
[/p][p]To those who might spurn such silliness, please consider that there is one big benefit to the bane banter found herein. Now the real 'alumi[strong][em]nut[/em][/strong]ties' on this forum have been identified. And to each 'aluminut' - be proud, always remembering that the mighty oak was once a little nut too. [/p][p]
