[p]So on my 14DBS I am running 40psi in the 4 tires. Should I be at 50? Geez, that just seems like a lot......[/p][p]
[/p][p]And, does anyone have a good link to trailer tire theory? RE: at my 40psi they look almost over inflated. It looks like the middle three ridges [ all of the same design] stick 1/8" higher than the two outer ridges, of a slightly different design. Maybe they are intended to look like the middle ridges are higher? [/p][p]
[/p][p]Thanks, r[/p]
It does seem high but I've always followed the manufacturers guidance on this. Your question did prompt me to do a quick search and I found this
[a href="https://www.etrailer.com/faq-trailer-tire-frequently-asked-questions.aspx"]TIRE PRESSURE
A[/a]lso read an article that states higher pressure reduces tire movement and thus reduces sway.
Thanks for the link Mitch a lot of great info there. etrailer.com has a lot of great info and very helpful video's too.
You will find the pressure to set the tires to on the GAWR sticker on the side of the hitch frame at the front. Use that pressure.
50 psi it will be, thanks to all who provided input, especially Mitch with the good link.
Lots of fun this RV learning curve.
