How much head room is it eating up?

We have a Happijac bed platform.  When fully raised it cuts out about a foot of head room, maybe a little more.  Didn't have to do any adjustments on it, though.  It was set that way when delivered.

Do make sure you get it's brake on good after it's lifted, or it WILL drift down.

There's some manuals here, which may help you - [a href="http://www.happijac.com/index.php/products/bed-lifts"]http://www.happijac.com/index.php/products/bed-lifts[/a].  I think their web links may be messed up, though.  The one listed "manual override" actually leads here [a href="http://www.happijac.com/images/pdfs/Bed-Lift%20User%20Manual2012.pdf"]http://www.happijac.com/images/pdfs/Bed-Lift%20User%20Manual2012.pdf[/a], which looks more like a user's manual.  It mentions trolley stops and bunk stops.  Maybe some good stuff there.
