Title: The baby is home
Post by: tincan on May 02, 2015, 10:17:52 PM
Pictures to follow.

21RBS, silver outside trim. First night in a campground went well.  All appliances work, no leaks, one toilet malfunction (Fixed).

Thermostat is a POS but works.

Shower is OK, aluminum deck is COLD on yer feet at 46 degrees in the AM.

Vail sport tires, aluminum rims, no tire cracks, all looked good at pick up.  All looks good at home.

Towed like a dream with no WDH.

LOL,

Nope, no kids, babies or otherwise.  I often think of my motor vehicles as a person, 20+ years of driving big trucks.  I get a bit possessive and have been known to give them names.  They are part of me, so naturally I think of my second and last camper as my new baby, something to be coddled and cared for.

2 days straight on the road to get her home, so I am a bit exhausted, will post pictures and details tomorrow.

we picked up a large piece of indoor/outdoor carpet from lowes and cut it to fit our vrv.  was a cheap and easy way to keep the feet from freezing

[font size="3"]Thermo is an easy replacement. Two non polarized wires. See my posts. Consider interlocking rubber floor tiles in the future. It needs thermal insulation. And consider the Oxygenics shower sprayer.

Good luck and enjoy your 21. Remember, pictures of anything you do  8-)

[font size="3"]That looks like a CG power post in the background. So is this a selfie or did Furpod accompany Tincan on the trip? Furpod, you're getting awfully close.

Looks great.  We're expecting delivery of our 21BHS any day. I like
hearing that all went smooth without a WD hitch.  The dealer is going
to install only a sway control on ours which I hope is all we'll need.
Enjoy yourself!

CharlieM - Yes camped first night of owner ship. 50 amp electric, water and sewer.

No camp store, no bath house, and only 2 other campers. Quiet, no lights, on the river, very peaceful!

The Toilet issue was the valve was not clicked in both sides.  Once fixed, holds water like it should.

Phone went dead, my rookie mistake.  Pictures tomorrow for sure.

Nice set up. I like the colors and the fact you camped as part of the pickup trip. Nothing like a trip home shake-down cruise.  :)

OK here are some pics or picture links.

Hopefully this works.  Let me know.  Some of the pictures are named and self explanatory.  Some are not.  The toilette was broken, but the valve just pops in place not sure how it got out, but it is fine and works well.

There was a LOT of caulking issues.  Everything attached to the outside was sealed with silicon. It is all pealing away and cracking.  There was a bunch of the front trim missing sealant, I bought a tube at my RV dealer and sealed it up the next day.  There is one picture caulk and no caulk that shows a small 1/2 inch gap.  There were sections 5 and 6 inch without caulk.

Many of these have been sent to Livin Lite.  I believe that the dealer sealed everything with silicon, even stuff that already has a rubber seal like the outside shower and the water hook up.

I have not been on the roof yet.  I will keep this updated.  Work has been crazy, and I have been tired.

More pictures to follow.

Soft ground is no good place for a camper.  I poured a driveway extension to hold my camper.

The camper is in storage inside a building but the land around the building had too much water. I am supposed to go pick it up tomorrow!

tincan - I confirm we can see the gallery now. Was the fold-up counter extension something you did or is it by LivinLite?

PEIslander

The fold up counter is Livin lite.  The extra counter looks like someone leaned on it when locked in the up position.  The screw has been pulled out.  Not a big deal, I was planning on installing a Cherry butcher block there anyways. Got some laying around.

All the exterior caulking is silicon and is all coming off.  Once washed I will wax and start the process of removing the silicon and replacing with RV caulk.
